Jasmine + Pedro // Dana Point Wedding

Last year, I had the pleasure of photographing Jasmine and Pedro’s Dana Point wedding. Their wedding was a memorable one for many reasons– forgetting to apply sunscreen on one of the hottest days of summer is one. 😉 All kidding aside, one of the main reasons this wedding will remain dear to my heart is the love I felt that day. From witnessing the bond the girls had as they got ready, to the camaraderie between the guys, to the unmistakable love that Jasmine and Pedro have for one another… I’m so blessed to do what I do. =) Thank you to Jasmine, Pedro, and their friends and family!

Enjoy a few favorites from their day…

Many thanks to Ken Lee and Allen Taylor for your talents… me and my sunburned self couldn’t have done it with out you! =)

Jim + Jessica // Redondo Beach Historic Library Wedding

There’s something wildly romantic about vintage style weddings. From the venue, to the decor, to the bride’s gorgeous veil… Jim and Jessica’s wedding was everything you’d want in a vintage wedding. The day was full of happiness and delightfully lighthearted… an absolute joy to photograph. Many many thanks, Jim and Jessica for the opportunity to document your day… Enjoy a few of  my favorites!

San Juan Capistrano Engagement // {Lauren + Jonny}

With wedding season winding down and just two more weddings to go this year, I can finally get caught up on my blog posts! {Insert happy music!} I’m so excited to share some amazing couples, weddings, little ones, and even fur babies with you. 😉 They will all come on future posts… but today, I will start with an engagement session I photographed this summer.

Lauren first asked me to photograph her senior portraits when she was graduating with her Master’s Degree from Loyola Marymount and I met Jonny {her then boyfriend} at her session. Lauren wrote in a thank you card after her session, “Hopefully the next time you photograph me it will involve a ring!”. Sure enough… Lauren and Jonny were engaged shortly after. Needless to say I was thrilled {like jump up and down happy} when she asked me to be her wedding photographer. In discussing her wish list for her engagement session, {orange groves, lots of light, fabulous outfits}, I knew that it would be a really fun session. When she mentioned that she wanted to include her adorable dog, Scout, well… that was the cherry on top! 🙂 So… enough intro… enjoy a few of my favorites from Lauren and Jonny’s San Juan Capistrano engagement session!

Lauren and Jonny, I can’t wait to wait to photograph your wedding next year!!! Happy Friday, all!

Dana Point Engagement // {Kylee + Bryan}

We met for the first time in Newport Beach. Up until then, we had only communicated via email! It just so happened that Kylee and Bryan had plans to be in Orange County so it was the perfect opportunity to meet. Although they call sunny San Diego home, Bryan grew up in Orange County and had a family member throwing them a fabulous engagement party nearby. As we chatted about their upcoming La Jolla wedding and planned where to photograph their engagement session, I could tell right away that they loved the ocean. Not only will their wedding reception be right next to the water, but Bryan proposed to Kylee while overlooking Laguna Beach. Which brings me to their Dana Point engagement session. What we came up with was the perfect backdrop that incorporated their love of the water and Bryan’s OC roots. Kylee and Bryan, thank you so much for allowing me to document the love that you share. I hope you had as much fun as I did that day!

Enjoy a few of my favorites from our day in Dana Point.
